The first sessions of the project “The Theater of Rural Water”, a collective creation that will result in a multidisciplinary performance incorporating body, voice, sound, objects and landscape, have taken place over the last few months, having the manifestations of water in rural contexts as the theme that is being be worked on.
“The Theater of Rural Water” has artistic direction by Luís Costa and throughout the weekly sessions, blocks of experimentation are being developed, with a final result expected to be presented in June 2025 with three complementary versions: a theater performance, a performance in a rural village and an experimental documentary film.
This project is part of the Tramontana European Network, a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Program and being developed between 2024 and 2027, in a partnership between 11 partners from Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Albania, Romania and Poland.
